Pilates is a form of strength and movement training that focuses on how your body works as a whole, rather than isolating muscles in a rigid way. It builds deep core strength, improves mobility through the spine and joints, and helps you move with more control and efficiency. Instead of wearing your body down, it teaches you how to support it—reducing stiffness, easing aches, and improving balance and coordination.

what is Pilates?

move better, stay strong and keep your body working for you - not against you

My method takes a structured but simple approach. We start with a small number of exercises to assess and support back health, while building strength through the core and legs. From there, we progress methodically through the body—shoulders, knees, ankles, elbows, and wrists—ensuring each joint is working efficiently and without strain. You’ll learn key exercises in a specific order, along with their names, so they’re easy to remember and repeat. Along the way, you develop a clear understanding of how movement should feel, how to move well through each joint, and how breathing supports both performance and recovery. The aim is to give you a reliable repertoire of exercises that you can confidently use and adapt, keeping your body strong, mobile, and ready for whatever you ask of it.

Small equipment such as resistance bands, soft balls, Pilates rings and large equipment like the Pilates Arc and Reformer are introduced as needed.

Golf swings put stress on the body, particularly the back and shoulders. Yet many golfers neglect warm-ups and only focus on fitness after pain appears. Staying proactive is key, but often overlooked.

It's not about perfection, but about staying mobile, strong and able to enjoy the game long-term. Whether that means walking more often or stretching occasionally, small efforts go a long way, even if the clubhouse burger still wins now and then!

Golf fitness is all about balance.
